My 3.5 year-old BYD e6 which had done about 57000 Kms. developed a battery issue in which I had a range problem. I was getting only about 300 Kms. on a full charge. On one of the regular servicing visits to BYD Landmark (Okhla) I reported the issue to the Senior Technical Advisor / Head Mr. Suraj who took the car out for testing himself and who also felt the same. He then shared the concern with the Service Manager at BYD Landmark (NOIDA) Mr. Harpreet Singh. Together they escalated the issue with BYD Chennai who after taking the VDS reports authorised them to perform a variety of range and charging tests on my vehicle which stretched on for a few days. Ultimately, an issue was found with the High Voltage Main battery and it was promptly replaced after a lead delivery time from Chennai of about 15 days. I have taken the vehicle for a range test after the replacement of the battery and it is giving the correct range as on date i.e. 10.04.2026. The whole experience from the reporting of the issue till the replacement and subsequent range testing was a very satisfactory experience and full marks to BYD Landmark especially Mr. Suraj and Mr. Harpreet Singh in helping detect and rectifying the issue of reduced range with the replacement of the Battery.
